The RussVegas Half Marathon may be cancelled, postponed, and/or rerouted for any reason at the sole discretion of the Race Committee, including but not limited to extreme weather, snow, ice, rain, lightning, cold, heat, and/or flooding. Remember that the marathon is in April in Arkansas. In light of recent weather-related events in Dallas, Memphis, Fayetteville, and Little Rock, it is critical that before you register and are charged your entry fee for the RussVegas Half Marathon, you read and confirm via your registration your understanding of all event policies.
The RussVegas Half Marathon inclement weather policy is that the race is on unless weather makes the roads and/or course impassable and/or unsafe or expected to be unsafe for runners, volunteers, and/or race officials at any point on race day. See Cancellation policy above. Facebook and email will be used to keep the runners up to date. In the event of flooding that makes any section of the course impassable but otherwise safe for the event to be held, an alternate uncertified marathon course will be used. All decisions are at the discretion of the Race Committee.
RussVegas is dedicated to providing socially responsible events in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. As state guidelines and protocols are updated and/or revised, registered participants will be notified by email. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all activities & services surrounding the races may not be available for 2022. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 and keep you informed as we move forward in our planning of the event.
